Un contingente de 84 policías será desplegado en la provincia de Esmeraldas para garantizar la seguridad de los turistas que arribarán en el crucero MS Artania este lunes, 30 de marzo.
El operativo abarcará los cantones Rioverde, Atacames y Esmeraldas, considerados puntos clave dentro del itinerario turístico de unos 700 visitantes de los 1.500 extranjeros que viajan a bordo del barco, detalló Cristhian Rivadeneira, comandante policial de la Subzona Esmeraldas, subrogante.
El personal será distribuido estratégicamente en los sitios donde se desarrollarán las visitas, aunque los destinos específicos fueron definidos en una reunión final previa a la llegada del crucero.
Para este dispositivo de seguridad se contará además con 24 patrulleros, 12 motocicletas que cumplirán funciones de avanzada y acompañamiento a los buses turísticos. Además habrá 34 servidores policiales del eje investigativo, quienes ejecutarán labores de inteligencia en las zonas intervenidas, agregó Rivadeneira.
Se prevé que el crucero arribe el lunes y permanezca en el puerto marítimo de Esmeraldas, desde las 07:00 hasta aproximadamente las 17:00, tiempo durante el cual se realizarán recorridos turísticos bajo resguardo policial permanente.
El jefe del Centro Operativo Local, Cristian Prado, informó que a través del sistema de videovigilancia ECU911 se mantendrá un control permanente antes, durante y después del arribo de los visitantes, con el objetivo de garantizar la seguridad y una respuesta oportuna ante cualquier eventualidad.
